Experiential In-Person IFS Introductory Training in Auckland.

You're invited to a two-day experiential, in-person training in Auckland focused on the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model for therapists, demonstrating its application with trauma and common client presentations as well as personal growth.

What You'll Experience:

  • Feel and Sense IFS: The training is designed to move beyond theory, helping you experience and sense into the IFS model in your work with clients. 

  • Parts and Trauma: Explore how different parts within an individual respond to trauma, noting both the unique aspects of individual systems and the striking resemblances across different people and in humanity. 

  • Brief Theoretical Framework: A concise theoretical overview of IFS will be provided.

Presenters 

The training will be led by Jane Currie and Hyunok Jeon, both highly qualified and experienced in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. 

Key Credentials 

• IFS Institute Approved: Both are Clinical Consultants (Supervisors) approved by the IFS      Institute.

           • Certified Therapists: Both are Level 3 certified IFS therapists. 

• IFSI Official Training Support: They have supported official IFS Level 1 and 2 trainings as Programme Assistants numerous times across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

• Active Supervisors: They actively supervise IFS therapists in both individual and group settings. 

• Aotearoa Context: They utilize IFS within the Aotearoa (New Zealand) context, including work with ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation- Sensitive Claims), supervision, and for personal and professional growth. 

• Jane and Hyunok are senior clinical psychologists registered in New Zealand.

Jane Currie

Jane has extensive mental health clinical experience as a Clinical Psychologist in Adult Mental Health Services (BOPDHB) and clinical supervisor in the private sector (for past six years). Her therapeutic philosophy is to be a one-on-one guide who aids in the development of a safe and encouraging environment where clients, supervisees and participants in training can experience their own inner wisdom. She is currently passionate about growing IFS therapeutic expertise in Aotearoa and is currently involved in bringing IFS into therapy of long-term illnesses such as cancer. Her interests include ancestral wisdom, legacy burdens and gifts, and spiritual growth. She is also interested in providing opportunities for self- care for therapists. Her move into psychology from business was prompted by her significant cancer journey in her 30’s.

Hyunok Jeon

Hyunok is a highly certified mental health professional in Auckland. She integrates her extensive training in IFS with deep interests in somantic IFS, EMDR, cross-cultural subjective experiences, iintergenerational trauma and gifts and post-trauma growth and spiritual growth. Her journey into psychology, which focuses on internal therapeutic spaces, follows a background rooted in external advocacy as a journalist and human rights activist in Korea.
